I wrote this in a fever dream and I think it’s safe to say that as much as this was a shippy fic, it was also very much a love letter to these two as individual characters. Which probably explains the horrific length of it orz
I started playing with the idea of a second Kavescara after the Parade of Providence, but couldn’t settle on a specific direction for the story because a lot of things were going on IRL at the time. Mid-June, Yam/Oyakorodesu and I were chatting when the topic of Kavescara came up. One thing led to another and it turned into an impromptu collab ✨
Going into this fic was different from my previous Kavescara lighthouse in the mists, largely because this time I was writing with much better understanding of Kaveh from his official release, the Championship and his hangout. I set out initially to explore what Wanderer would think of Kaveh, after learning all that he had been doing during the Championship and his observations at Aaru Village afterwards. As Wanderer and Kaveh got to know each other better and their relationship began to develop, the fic took on a life of its own.
